BCCI announced their 15-member squad led by Rohit Sharma for the ICC World Cup 2023.ICC world cup will be start from October 5 accross nine venue of India .
India Squad for ICC WORLD CUP 2023
Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya (VC), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj.
The only differences between the Indian team playing in the Asia Cup 2023 and the ICC MEN’S WORLD squad are that of Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna, who have been omitted from the final 15.
Among the 15 player that have made the cut for the show-piece tournament, eight to nine players are set to play in either their 2nd or 3rd or even their 4th world Cup like Virat Kohli, while six players are set to make their ODI World Cup debuts.
While this will be Kohli’s 4th appearance in a 50 over World Cup, Rohit and Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja will be playing in their 3rd ODI World Cup.Shubman Gil,Ishan Kishan,Shreyas Iyer,Suryakumar Yadav,Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj will play their maiden ODI World Cup.
