India Gate is a historic monument situated in New Delhi(the capital of India).It was organised to pay tribute to the soldiers who bravely battled during the 1st World War.On the India Gate , the names of soldiers who were sacrificed during the battle are engraved.

Construction of the India Gate began in Feb 1921 and opened in Feb1931.The ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ memorial was also constructed after the completion of the All India war memorial.
